One thousand wins. That’s the staggering total that Duke Men’s Basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski now counts on his resume, nike free run 2.0 along with four national championships, four Olympic Gold Medals, 12 national coach of the year awards and the molding of countless boys into men. In fact he’s the first Division 1 men’s college basketball coach to 1000 wins, and Nike is marking the occasion with a special edition shirt.
The Nike Coach K Celebration T-shirt features Mike’s familiar nickname on the chest, cheap nike free run shoes along with a “1K” logo and “1,000 Wins And Kounting” emblazoned across the back. On the sleeve is the Duke Blue Devils’ logo, calling out the legendary coach’s current team, and the one with which he’s accomplished 927 of those wins, having begun his head coaching career at Army, where he notched his first 73.
The limited edition Nike Coach K Celebration T-shirt hit Nike.com Sunday, while customized tees and Air Force 1s were available at House of Hoops by Foot Locker Pop Up at 33rd and 7th after yesterday’s win.
