Nike Air Max 1 WHEAT, Not By Larry Appleton

You remember that TV show, Perfect Strangers, that anchored ABC’s TGIF block in the late-80s and early-90s? It starred Bronson Pinchot as Balki Bartokomous, who moved from a tiny Mediterranean island called Mypos to live with his cousin, Larry Appleton, nike free 5.0 in Chicago. Cultures clash regularly, as Balki’s perception of US life was largely based on outdated pop culture, and Larry gets frustrated with his backwards behavior, though he always comes back around, and even tries to get Balki acclimated to the America of today. It’s a comedy of errors of sorts, and hilarity regularly ensues. (To use the word “hilarity” fairly loosely.) It actually may be more famous for its spinoff show, in fact, one Family Matters. (The Carl Winslow character debuted in a Season 4 episode of Perfect Strangers.)

Anyway, there was an episode during the show’s eight-season (!) run wherein Larry writes a play, titled “Wheat,” and repeatedly introduces it as, “‘Wheat,’ by Larry Appleton,” enunciating the word “Wheat” in a really over-the-top, affectatious way. nike free trainer 5.0 It’s a tiny element of a single episode of a series that aired over 150 of them, yet it immediately took root in my brain and has stuck there ever since.

All this is really just a roundabout way of reiterating that, yes, the Nike Air Max 1 Wheat, with its tan nubuck upper and brown midsole, will hit retailers next week, and to give you an idea of how the word “Wheat” sounds in my head every single time I read it. I suppose you can’t relate, but it’s maddening. Anyway: Air Max 1 Wheat (by Larry Appleton . . .): November 1 at NSW accounts.
