On November 1, 1994, a statue of Michael Jordan titled The Spirit was unveiled outside of the United Center, the site of MJ and the Chicago Bulls’ six NBA championships. On August 22, 2015, all black nike free run 2 men that statue’s shoes will hit stores.
OK, OK; not literally the statue’s shoes. Those would be composed of bronze and thus unnecessarily heavy and essentially unwearable, nike free run 5 and that’s not even taking into account the exclusivity of such a release. There would just be the one pair, really.
Instead, the Air Jordan 9 Statue is inspired by the IX’s worn by Bronze MJ, sporting a white leather upper and bronze accents on the midsole, liner and eyelets. Each tongue goes solid black, delivering a pop of contrast, while the reverse sides punctuate the theme: “November 1, 1994” is embroidered on attached tags.
The Air Jordan 9 Statue releases in just ten days, and today enjoy a new round of detailed photos. Way better than actual metal shoes.
