Welcome back another classic runner — a pioneer, even — as the Nike Air Tailwind is hitting retailers in a brand new colorway.
Originally released in extremely limited allotments back in 1978, Wholesale Air Max 90 New Zealand coinciding with the Honolulu Marathon, the shoe was launched more widely the following year, introducing the Nike Air-Sole technology to the running world.
And the look and feel remain faithful to the original this time out, Nike Free 3.0 V4 Online merely swapping the usual suede overlays and mesh-based upper for smoother leather overlaid against solid nylon. Even the blue-and-grey palette isn’t too much of a departure from that OG colorway.
No word yet on a US release for the Nike Air Tailwind Violet Force, but back in February we did forecast one, so it’s certainly expected. Stay tuned for updates or, if you’re in the UK, grab a pair now at Size.
