The off-court edition of Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe is poised to go high-fashion on a couple of upcoming colorways. A rather literal interpretation of Kobe’s nickname (“Black Mamba,” not “Beef”), the Nike Free 3.0 V4 Store shoe boasts a blacked-out upper that’s anything by mundane, thanks to intricate detailing.
Small scales proliferate on the upper — think the Kobe VI — before giving way to a luxe leather ankle, itself finished with snakeskin embossing. The mirrored chrome inlays in each midsole, meanwhile, matching up to the lace aglets, are just premium icing on the cake.
